Or, make it a book store or antique shop. Your choice.
Students will begin with a basic wood shop, then add
stucco, beams and exposed brick peeking through to
bring the charm of Old England to life. A glass paned
bow-window adds the atmosphere of an Anton Pieck print.
Students will add a faux slate roof, real slate sidewalk
& copper gutter & downspout. Carve "stones"
in the chimney and base area below the window. 13"X
13" overall footprint with 7" X 7"
interior with glowing coals in fireplace and tile
floor. Interior lighting and transformer provided.
Make a vine to add realism to the side wall. Access
to two floors through the front roof, door & front
sidewalk window. Lighting and transformer is provided.
Class size is limited. This is the first building
of a 3-shop Tudor Street Scene. For a complete set
of photos, contact Fred. Those who make all three
pieces will receive a courtyard base and town fountain
as a special gift. This is a limited edition of 30
total offered at three locations. Only five spaces
are available for the Tysons Corner workshop.
This is a full two days of class.

tall Bespaq cabinet into an incredible seven room
limited edition haunted house, inspired by Disney's
famous mansion. Join us if you dare as we climb to
the rooftop, where you'll discover a graveyard &
a hanging tree. There's even a Mad Scientist's Laboratory,
Dungeon, Fortune Teller's room and many more surprises.
Your friends will gaze upon it in wonder, but wait
'til you switch on the Black Light, the house comes
to life, with things that go bump in the night! You
can't see them with the naked eye…btw, whose eyes
are those on the wall looking at you. Class size is
limited to ten very brave students, no screaming allowed.

will make a stone wall, paint an aged plank wooden
floor, and make a charming leaded or stained glass
window with an exterior scene. One wall outlet will
be provided if you wish to add additional electrical
accessories. You'll make stone walls, a leaded glass
window with exterior scene, plank floor, beamed ceiling
and LED lights to illuminate the interior. 15"

GLAMOUR PUSS DOLL

Assemble Nancy's original sculptured character doll,
cast in resin, with pre-painted facial features. Learn
to create a wire armature and cotton sculpting - getting
just the right body shape, alignment and position,
wigging and costuming. Kit includes Viscose hair,
instructions, dress pattern and material for all her
clothing, shoes and stockings. She's ready to party
in her jungle print outfit and perfectly coiffed hair.
Give her a glamorous pillbox hat, some fishnet stockings
and she's ready to purr! We will create an ottoman
for her to rest her sexy derriere.

THE BLACK STALLION
DEB MACKIE ~ MARYLAND
Recreate Walter Farley's magnificent stallion as he
runs free on the beach. You'll get a brief demo on
Breyer resin horse model prep and repair for customization,
with a printed "how to" handout and materials
source list to take home for future reference. Students
will then be given a "prepped" 1:12 scale
resin horse and learn to realistically paint and detail
the features, creating depth and highlight in the
black horse's coat. While the paint dries, students
will create and apply the mane and tail 'wefts"
from Tibetan lambs wool, styling it to create the
look of motion as he races the wind on his desert
island! Finally, landscape a wooden base with sand,
shells, rocks and vegetation to create a custom beach
vignette on which to display the stallion. Horses
may vary in pose depending on availability of models.
All materials and tools will be provided by the instructor.

scale paper to compliment her ensemble. Her blocks,

NOAH'S ARK TOY Time: 8-Noon

CREWEL EMBROIDERY CLASS

Come stitch with Cookie! Crewel embroider a design
made exclusively for Molly Cromwell's miniature shows.
The traditional motif will be mounted on a small,
round footstool with wooden legs, stained and ready
to upholster. This is an easy design to stitch, using
basic crewel stitches - you'll learn French Knots,
Outline Stitch, Slanted Satin Stitch, Fishbone &
Trellis stitches… plus very simple mounting &
finishing procedures. You should complete your project
by the end of class.

paint, to achieve a realistic finish.
