Castle Great Hall ~ Larry Bolduc,
Florida
Step back in time, creating a Great Hall grand enough
to display your finest castle furniture and crown
jewels! Wall and floor space allow plenty of room
to include a tapestry wall, with the tapestry; honor
banners displaying coats of arms; a regal inlayed
marble floor; and its centerpiece - an ornate fireplace
with marble frieze and griffin supports. Marble statues
in niches cast a watchful eye over decorative columns
and a richly carved ceiling. You will learn methods
of creating random laid and dressed stone facings
and a marble floor with inlays, using paper clay.
The box features beautiful exterior molding with outside
dimensions 20" wide x 16" tall x 14"
deep. You will also wire your Great Hall to create
dramatic lighting effects.

Enjoy building this whimsical forest cottage. Its
design is based on the real Hansel House in Carmel,
CA. The ½" cottage is on a round wood
base to fit under an 8"X 12" glass dome
(student supplies glass). Did you see the adorable
raccoon peeking out from the knothole? You will learn
handcrafting the intertwining trees, building windows
with faux stained glass, shingling, texturing, and
effective layering of paints and stains. Choice of
seasonal landscaping is included.

"Capodimonte" Chandelier ~ Judy Andraka,

This gorgeous 5 candle chandelier is a faux representation
in the famous Capodimonte tradition. Students will
make and electrify it, then paint the flowers and
leaves, painting the base in the Italian tradition
of a pearlized white finish - or leave it gold. Techniques
include wiring, soldering, faux finishes on metal,
assembling a lighting fixture with various component
& making dripping "wax" candles. All

Students will weather stone, construct a tree, flowers,
plants, fish, lily pads and water, arranging it all
